Geitodoris planata. Length c. 45mm. Small buff gills expanded, partially separated into left and right groups. Pale acid-producing papillae with surrounding pale patches on either side of dorsum. September 2009. Found by Julia Nunn. Skye, Scotland.

Geitodoris planata. Mantle pinkish brown, skirt widespread and flat. White acid-producing papillae unobtrusive against pale mantle, but still discernible. September 2007. Oosterschelde, Netherlands.

Geitodoris planata spawn out of water. Little known about breeding season and biology. Spawn seen in September 2011; yellowish ribbon attached by edge to substrate in a coil. LWS. Dorset, England.
