This species has been said to be our largest Mangelia. The figured shell is from lower intertidal zone but from Britany as I know of no authentic fresh material from UK or Channel Islands waters. Populations of a smaller species exist in UK and Irish waters but they appear to have no valid name unless it is Mangelia minor Jeffreys
