Truncatellina cylindrica (Férussac, 1807)
Description: Shell almost cylindrical, domed at the apex, with fine regular transverse sculpture, giving a sparkling appearance at low magnifications; suture shallow. Mouth a little elongated vertically and edentulous; mouth edge slightly thickened and reflected, especially baslly and on the columellar margin. Shell pale golden-brown, not glossy.
Habitat: Very dry calcareous grassy places, characteristically among Sedum or Artemisia; screes, among rocks; occasionally on sand dunes.

Truncatellina callicratis (Scacchi, 1833)
Description: Shell outline even more cylindrical than T. cylindrica. Whorls slightly more convex and sutures deeper. Three deep-set  denticles usually present, the palatal usually being visible in frontal view. Sculpture weaker and less regular than in T. cylindrica, and occasionally the shell is almost smooth.
Habitat: Very dry calcareous grassy places; open rocky hillsides.
