Size: Up to 17mm high; 5mm broad Shape: Relatively tall shell with the last whorl making up about half of the total shell height. Has a moderately long and wide siphonal canal and broad anal sinus. Colour: White-grey sometimes with yellow near the apex and outer lip. Sculpture: 12-19 costae per whorl (though faint on last whorls); numerous spiral ridges running over costae. Animal: White or cream. There are two cephalic tentacles but no eyes. No operculum on foot.
Ecology and behaviour
Live on soft bottoms from 40-400m.
Distribution and status
With the British Isles has only been recorded east of Shetland.
