The prices of the books that have not yet been bought have been substantially reduced again – there are serious bargains available, and many free books.

As previously announced, the prices of the books that have not yet been bought have been substantially reduced.  The purpose of the sale is to try to find good homes for everything, and to raise money for the Society and individual vendors. The sale is open to non-members as well as to members; members are given 15 days priority. (Please see notes and rules (click to open).)

Several hundred conchological books, offprints, periodicals, and miscellaneous conchological items which remain unsold from previous postal auctions on sale.

The Guardian ran a UK invertebrate of the year competition and the winner is....

Professor Robert Cameron is inviting bids for a large number of 'Lots'. Any money raised will be donated to either the Conchological Society or to Sorby Natural History Society. This is a rare opportunity to bid for an extensive range of conchological material. Click through to find out more!

Volume 45 of the Journal of Conchology, began publication in March with a new look and full online-only publication. Articles will be published immediately as they become ready. 

For those interested in some historical ConchSoc documents, why not put the kettle on and spend a little downtime paging through some early outreach papers put together by some truly dedicated researchers such as the wonderful and much missed, Stella Turk.
