Description: 3 - 4.4 x 1.8 mm. Shell ovoid, glossy, very faintly striated, brown or horn-coloured, with 6 - 7 moderately convex whorls, the last with a strong basal crest.Mouth-edge a little thickened, sharply reflected at right angles to form a flat white lip. An angular tooth is normally present, linked to the top of the outer lip and continued internally as a fine spiral lamella.
Habitat: Woods, rocks, grassland; not usually in very wet places. Often abundant under ivy on stone walls.
