Finding molluscs is all about knowing where to look and what to look for. Find out more about what species you would expect within particular habitats and the techniques for actually finding them.
Making records of the molluscs that you find can really help to improve our knowledge of molluscs and how their distributions are changing. The Society has well established recording schemes for both marine and non-marine molluscs and welcomes records from anyone. There are also a range of more specific projects which can be a good way to get involved.
The Society runs a programme of both field and indoor meetings all of which are open to members and non-members. These are a good chance to learn more about finding and identifying molluscs
