A new facility has been enabled on the Conchological Society's website which will send periodic email alerts to users registered on the site. There are two categories of notification:
- News items - any news items that are posted on the site will be automatically emailed to all registered users. These items are typically those that need to be circulated rapidly - not the more detailed articles that are published through Mollusc World. There will also be occasional news items drawing attention to significant additions or changes to the website.
- Events - As new meetings/events are scheduled or the content of these is developed, updates will be posted through the website and again registered users will recieve an email update with the details. In addition we hope to use this facility to rapidly notify users of field meetings that have been arranged at relatively short notice.
We dont anticicpate that there will be many of these updates. However, if you do not wish to receive them you can disable the faciliy by logging onto the site and following the link below. Alternatively you may also select which categoryof notification to keep enabled.
