Size: Up to 10mm high; 4mm broad Shape: Relatively tall shell with the last whorl making up about two thirds of the total shell height. Has a siphonal canal and deep anal siphon. Colour: White sometimes with reddish brown spots. Sculpture: Possesses spiral ridges and grooves 20-25 on the last whorl and 5-6 on the penult. Animal: White with two blunt tipped tentacles each with an eye at the base. No operculum on foot nor does the animal possess a radula.
Lives on sandy bottoms from 30 to 900m depths. Food and method of feeding is unknown.
Found all around the British Isles but not common.
