Lamellaria perspicua. 20 mm long (excluding projection of foot). Mantle curved into respiratory siphon. Dome is rarely depressed lower than in this picture, while L. latens always has a lower profile than this. LWS Menai Strait, Anglesey, Feb. 2011.

Lamellaria perspicua. Length 23 mm. Resembles sponge encrusted rock and (reddish mark rear of centre) open orange-red aperture of Verruca stroemia barnacles concealed in sponge which live in the vicinity. Menai Strait, Wales, Feb. 2011.

Lamellaria perspicua, adult, length 20mm (on right), size comparison with L. latens adult, length 10mm. L. latens often holds its tentacles more widely spread than L. perspicua. Both from Menai Strait, Wales.
