Clausiliopsis szechenyi (Boettger 1883), the type species of Clausiliopsis, is re-described, including the anatomy, based on new collections. Clausiliopsis can be diagnosed by the presence of both penial caecum and epiphallus caecum, a rather short penis, the presence of a long diverticulum, and a more or less strongly convoluted bursa copulatrix duct. A twelfth species of the genus, Clausiliopsis hengdan sp. nov., is described from Hengdan, Gansu, China.
