Bright highlights reflected from transparent shells. Spawn laid and developed to hatching in period of 24 days April/May in refrigerator at 9° C. Escape from mass stimulated by rise in temperature or accidental rupture of mass when taken from refrigerator for photography. Almost all had previously hatched from their individual egg. Parent taken in April 2011 at low water spring tide on Menai Strait, Wales.
