Dorsal view of 23 mm L. perspicua from LWS on Menai Strait, Wales, Feb. 2011. Yellow sponge coated many rocks and the Verruca stroemia barnacles adhering to them. The dorsum of this specimen closely resembles a sponge encrusted rock with the open orange-red aperture of a hidden barnacle (orange-red mark to rear of centre).
