Abstract. In this paper we describe a new species, Georissa mawsmaiensis sp. nov., from Mawsmai cave, a limestone cave of Mawsmai village, Meghalaya, Northeast India. It is compared with its closest congener, Georissa saritta (Benson, 1851), which was also collected and described from the same area (Musmai [Present Mawsmai] valley, near Cherrapunjee). Unlike G. saritta, however, the new species is found to be distinct in its conchological features which include prominent spiral striation and few spiral striae on the body whorl (i.e., 4 in the new species and 7 in G. saritta). A detailed morphological comparison with the other congeners is also provided here.

Abstract. The classification of the subfamily Typhinae is revised based on a molecular phylogenetic analysis. The genera Typhina Jousseaume, 1880, Typhisopsis Jousseaume, 1880 and Typhisala Jousseaume, 1881 are here treated as synonyms, and Typhina is given precedence over Typhisopsis. Trubatsa Dall, 1889 is confirmed as a separate, valid genus, based on morphological shell characters and molecular analysis. Choreotyphis Iredale, 1936 is also regarded as a valid genus but still requires validation by molecular analysis. An appendix of Recent Typhinae includes a short description of each genus. The list of Typhinae recorded from New Caledonia is updated. The validity of Trubatsa lozoueti (Houart, 1991), a species so far known only from the empty collected holotype, is confirmed by the morphological and molecular analysis of a second specimen.
New record from New Caledonia: Typhinellus occlusus (Garrard, 1963) and four still unidentified species, Laevityphis sp., Monstrotyphis sp., Siphonochelus cf. S. arcuatus and Trubatsa sp.

Abstract. Trochulus is a genus of European land snail with a complex and disputed taxonomy and an intricate evolutionary history. Many species and subspecies were described only on the basis of shell morphology, which is highly variable, such that the shell morphology of many species and subordinate taxa appear to overlap that of others. In resolving the phylogeny and nomenclature of the genus, it is crucial to study type material, which is often not available. Examination of Locard’s material from the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle (MNHN) in Paris (France) led to the discovery of two specimens of Helix abludens, Locard 1888. This material is considered to belong to the original lot used by Locard to define his species, which was regarded as Trochulus striolatus subsp. abludens but recently discarded. In order to definitively clarify its identity and to stabilise the name, the best-preserved specimen is selected and designated herein as a lectotype. It is fully described and illustrated. The other specimen from the same lot becomes a paralectotype. This designation allows the restriction of the type locality to Boulogne-sur-Mer in the department Pas-de-Calais in France.

Abstract. The Clausiliidae species of India, Myanmar, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are mostly endemic and among the least studied representatives of their family. Almost all of the available material of these taxa was collected before 1920 and is housed in the Natural History Museum, London. The present overview of this collection provides information on the origins of the samples, as well as distribution data and illustrations of the studied species and subspecies with some comments on their taxonomic status. From this material Cylindrophaedusa (Montiphaedusa) godwinausteni Grego & Szekeres sp. nov., C. (M.) perplicata Grego & Szekeres sp. nov., Oospira decollata muspratti Grego & Szekeres subsp. nov., O. diyungensis Grego & Szekeres sp. nov., O. limborgi Grego & Szekeres sp. nov., O. rissomensis Grego & Szekeres sp. nov., O. shanensis Grego & Szekeres sp. nov., and O. telizoensis Grego & Szekeres sp. nov. are described as new taxa.

Abstract. Volvarina eumorpha (Melvill, 1906) is redescribed and its distribution revised to range from the Persian Gulf to Dhofar at upper reef level (6–35m), but not reaching the shallow infralittoral. V. eumorpha is thought to belong to a species group restricted to the far Western Indian Ocean and aggregating two other species: V. dekkeri sp. nov. described from Muscat as sibling species of V. eumorpha and restricted to the upper infralittoral of the southern Gulf of Oman, and V. kilwaensis Boyer, 2015 known from southern Kenya to Kilwa Island in southern Tanzania. Some extant and Late Miocene species from the Atlantic and Mediterranean fields are interpreted as brother-groups separated from the V. eumorpha species group since at least the closure of the Western Tethys Seaway; the final closure being dated from about 14 Ma/13,8 Ma (Langhian, Mid-Miocene).

First record of Lucinoma anemiophila Holmes, Oliver & Sellanes (2005 (Bivalvia: Lucinidae) outside its type locality [Short Communication]

Abstract. We present the first record of L. anemiophila outside its type locality, which is also the first record after its description, extending its distribution about 14 latitudinal degrees (about 1540km) northwards from its type locality. This record is based on twelve specimens of L. anemiophila collected in green mud.

Abstract. Examination of the holotypes of both species confirmed that they are conspecific, and all differences between the two species mentioned by Thach (2017) are not true or not relevant. Consequently, Bellardiella kovacsi is a junior synonym of Bellardiella abbasi.

New southernmost records of the genus Pupisoma (Vallonidae) using a novel collecting method on tree bromeliads [Short Communication]

Abstract. Here we present new records of the genus that extend the southern distribution of the genus Pupisoma by ~500km obtained using a method that, as far as we know, has not been previously utilised to collect micromolluscs on trees. The molluscs were collected as part of an ongoing survey of the arachnid fauna associated with the bromeliads Tillandsia aëranthos (Loisel) L.B. Sm. and T. recurvata (L.) L. in Buenos Aires City and Buenos Aires Province, Argentina.

New records of two gastropods (Mollusca: Gastropoda) from Indian waters [Short Communication]

Abstract. Two new records of the gastropods Clypeomorus petrosa chemnitziana (Pilsbry, 1901) and Sinustrombus sinuatus (Lightfoot, 1786), from Great Nicobar Island, India are reported along with descriptions and illustrations. The present report is the first record of Sinustrombus to the Indian mollusc fauna and provides an additional record of Clypeomorus petrosa chemnitziana.
