The programme for the Regional meeting of the Conchological Society in Cambridge on November 11th is attached.  The Meeting will take place in the University Museum of Zoology (part of the Department of Zoology), located on the New Museum Site just through the archway off Downing Street (see map).  The Museum will be closed and anyone intending to come to this meeting is asked to contact Richard Preece (rcp1001@cam.ac.uk) or one of the organizers (Tom White: 07872 625423 or Martin Willing: 07909581397 &/or martinjwilling@gmail.com ), who can e-mail you a map if required.

 

Parking is difficult in Cambridge but the Grand Arcade (formerly Lion Yard) car park is nearby but very expensive.  There are Park & Ride facilities, which will be a cheaper option (see below).  For those coming by train, the Museum is a 20 minute walk away from the Railway Station.  Train timetables and travel updates are available at www.nationalrail.co.uk

 

Buses: The bus station is about a 10 minute walk from the Zoology Department.

Many of the bus stops are located nearby on Emmanuel Street and Parker Street .

                Citi 7 Heathfield service (departs from bus stop E1, Emmanuel Street)

Park and Ride: The most convenient Park and Ride site is located just off Junction 11 of the M11 at Trumpington, and runs regularly between there and the Cambridge branch of John Lewis, which is only a few yards from the Zoology Department on Downing Street.
