Guest Speaker: Bernard Picton, National Museums Northern Ireland: "Nudibranchs of Britain and Ireland, their discovery and recording from Linnaeus to the 21st Century.".

Bernard will present the history of nudibranch taxonomy from 1758 to the present. He will discuss the role of direct observation by divers and the continuing discovery of species in the light of modern molecular techniques and direct observation by divers. The value of photographic records and social media will be highlighted in recording species which may be changing their distributions rapidly with climate change.
The talk will start shortly after 14:00, and will be followed by questions and displays.
