Type
Field meeting
Joint meeting with Freshwater Habitats Trust.
The largest natural lake in south Wales, Llangorse Lake is a natural eutrophic lake of glacial origin lying on Old Red Sandstone. There is good marginal vegetation and areas of reedbed, wet grassland, a stream, and broad-leaved woodland. It is hoped that we can hire a boat to access some of the aquatic bivalves in the morning and then in the afternoon to search the various terrestrial habitats.
Meet at 10.30 at Llangorse Lake car park (SO 129/272).
