Sunday 8th May 2016: SNAIL IDENTIFICATION WORKSHOP: Elsecar Heritage Centre, Barnsley South Yorkshire.

Type
Workshop

*** ADDED INFORMATION ***

11.00 AM to 4.00 PM.

Tutor: Robert Cameron.

An introduction to identifying our land snails (not slugs, which will feature in another workshop in September). We will use keys and identification guides, and learn how to use online resources. There will be a short outdoor collecting foray to find specimens, but by all means bring specimens of your own (preferably British, but I will do my best with others from Europe). Bring your own lunch, or retire to the pub, but tea, coffee and biscuits will be available on site.

This is a joint Sorby Invertebrate Group and Conchological Society of Great Britain and Ireland event with the Dearne Valley Landscape Partnership. BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL AND FREE. Book your place with Roseanna  Burton via email at DVLP@barnsley.gov.uk.   Location and directions available on booking.

Organiser

Derek Whiteley (invertebrates@sorby.org.uk).
