Type
Field meeting

Joint meeting with Wyre Forest Study Group.

Hawkbatch is in Forestry Commission ownership and there are areas of acidic oak woodland and conifer plantation, stream valleys and the occasional tufa flush. This visit will provide the opportunity of searching for the Lemon Slug Malacolimax tenellus, and the winged male and flightless female Land Caddis (Enoicycla pusilla), an iconic Wyre species.

Meet at 10.30 at Hawkbatch Car Park, SO761776, 2miles NW of Bewdley on the B 4194 .  There is steep ground in places, so strong footwear is recommended.
