A new genus, Ciliellopsis, is described for a new species, C. ogkasae, living on Montecristo Island (Tuscan Archipelago, Italy). Hypotheses on the relationships between the new genus and other genera having similar genital duct structure are discussed. This finding stresses the faunistic importance of Montecristo I., which, recently, has been declared an Integral Natural Reserve of European Interest.
