The new species Pleuroploca granulilabris, recorded in southern Brazil from off Rio de Janeiro State to Santa Catarina State, is most similar in shell characters to species from temperate Australia, the tropical Indo-West Pacific, and the early Miocene to Recent of the eastern Atlantic.
