The suspected presence of Cernuella aginnica (Locard) in the British Isles is confirmed. Specimens collected from a roadside in Kent are shown to differ from the closely related species C. virgata (Da Costa) on conchological and anatomical characters, in particular the relative size of the secondary dart sac.
