Fusinus nicki, a new Fasciolariid gastropod from Mozambique

A new species of fasciolariid gastropod (Mollusca), Fusinus nicki, is described. This species, known only from 75-150 m off southern Mozambique, east Africa, is a large carinate species characterized by an inflated body whorl, a detached parietal shield and by determinate (modified) growth.
