Hinia reticulata Portland Harbour example

This specimen is from silty sand in low water shallows of Portland Harbour, size about 26mm. The species is primarily a scavenger. Full range is uncertain but includes most of Europe and the Mediterranean. Some populations are variable in shape and colour.
