A course at Earnley Concourse near Chichester, West Sussex. Tutor: June Chatfield.
The plan is to visit the local shore to investigate beach formation, seaweeds, seashells, other marine creatures and fossils washed up on the strandline or living between the tides. The ways of life of these marine organisms in their habitat will be considered and background talks on the ecology of our seashores provided. Walks of up to three miles per day will be undertaken by participants. The cost will be £230 for residential participants and £155 for non-residential participants.
