Extensive attempts to name two small snails collected in the Seychelles, including anatomical studies, have revealed that one is certainly Liardetia sculpta (Möllendorff) a species known from the Marianas Islands, Caroline Islands and SE. China. It also matches material later described from Mauritius as Louisia insularis Godwin-Austen. The other species is almost certainly Louisia barclayi (Benson) but the detailed anatomy of that is apparently not known.
