Live specimens of Oestophora (Suboestophora) kuiperi GasuIl, 1966 (currently Suboestophora kuiperi) were first found in the type-locality (Cullera, province of Valencia, Spain). The shell and genitalia of this species are studied and compared with those of Suboestophora boscae (Hidalgo, 1869), congeneric species with which the same geographic area is shared. It can be concluded that S. kuiperi is a junior synonym of S. boscae.
